Miss Lucy started dancing at 3 years old with Ballet , Tap and then a few years later, Modern dance. After taking many RAD ballet exams and BATD Tap & Modern Miss Lucy successfully auditioned for Pattisons Dance Academy & College in Coventry at 11 years of age and attended for 2 years. During her time there she continued with her dance exams and also passed many LAMDA exams too.
When her family moved to Hertfordshire, Miss Lucy then attended The Maguerita Hoare School Of Dance in St. Albans. During this time she took part in dance festivals and continued with her ISTD Ballet,Tap and Modern but also added National and Greek to her repertoire.
Miss Lucy got the chance to perform at The Sadlers Wells theatre in The All England Dance finals and also performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
When Miss Lucy finished college she successfully auditioned for The London College of Dance to do a 3 year Honours degree in Dance affiliated to Middlesex University. During her time there she gained all her ISTD Teaching Associates and decided upon leaving in July 2000 to open her own dance school in Bedfordshire. Miss Lucy was Principal of Lucy Martin School Of Dance for 14 years successfully entering students for exams with a 100% pass rate, teaching all ages from 2 - 18!! With a heavy heart she had to sell her school when she moved to Stanwick in Wellingborough but is very excited about the future of her new venture " Ruby's Ballet Academy" and can't wait to share her journey with you all!!
